Real Madrid vs Eintracht Frankfurt will face off in the UEFA Super Cup 2022 as the winners of the most recent Champions League and Europa League (respectively) meet at the Olympic Stadium in Helsinki, Finland on Wednesday 10 August at 15:00. E.T.

Real Madrid vs. Eintracht Frankfurt will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network and Univision (Spanish language) and can be streamed live on DirecTV Stream, fuboTV and other live TV services.

Madrid won the 2021-22 Champions League by beating Liverpool 1-0 at the Stade de France earlier this year. Eintracht Frankfurt beat Scottish Rangers 5-4 on penalties in the Europa League final after the match ended in a 1-1 draw.

It is the first time since 1960 that the two sides have faced each other and the first time ever that a UEFA club final has been held in Finland.

Madrid are seeking their fifth Super Cup title and first since 2017. While Frankfurt will be making their first appearance in the Super Cup after defeating Rangers in the Europa League final. This victory ended the German club’s 42-year wait for a European trophy.

Madrid ended last season on a high after comfortably winning the Spanish league and overcoming poor performances to progress to the knockout stages of the Champions League. It eventually secured a record 14th European title in the final against Liverpool.

The Spanish powerhouse will remain mostly unchanged in 2022-23, led by Karim Benzema after his best ever season. Vinícius Júnior and Rodrygo are also back in an attack that was dominant last season. The midfield remains anchored by Casemiro, Luka Modric and Toni Kroos. The team’s reinforcements include central defender Antonio Rüdiger and midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni.
