PSG’s easy win thanks to Mbappe’s double. PSG secured a comfortable 4-1 win over Lyon in Ligue 1 on Sunday (September 3). Kylian Mbappe scored two goals. Marco Asensio and Ashraf Hakimi scored one goal each.

Lyon, who once dominated the French league, are now a much weaker team. The seven-time league champions could not put up any resistance against PSG at home. PSG got a penalty in the fourth minute of the match. Kylian Mbappe led the team by scoring from the penalty spot.

The second goal came in the 20th minute of the match. Ashraf Hakimi gave PSG the lead for the second time in the match. Then in the 38th minute of the first half in Ekpeşe, the Spanish winger Marco Asensio, who joined PSG from Real in the recently concluded summer transfer, scored from the pass of the new signing Manuel Ugarte.

The fourth goal of the match came just before the end of the first half. Mbappe scored a great goal from Asensio’s pass. However, PSG could not score in the second half. On the contrary, the French champions conceded one goal.

Lyon midfielder Corentin Tolisso scored a penalty in the 74th minute of the match. After no more goals, PSG eventually walked away with a 4-1 win in the away match. With this victory, PSG came to second place in the table. And Lyon is at the very bottom of the table.
