Simon Robinson: British man missing after taking flight from Bangkok | UK News

The family of a British man who went missing on his way back from Thailand two weeks ago have appealed for help finding him – with the search now focusing on Finland.

Simon Robinson was last heard from on 26 July just before boarding a flight from Bangkok to Helsinki.

He was then meant to get a connecting flight from the Finnish capital to Manchester.

His sister, Sarah Robinson Dale, said it’s been confirmed he did get on the flight from Thailand but didn’t take the second one back to the UK.

Mr Robinson’s phone has been switched off ever since.

Ms Dale shared a missing poster on Facebook which said the 27-year-old, from Skegness in Lincolnshire, hadn’t contacted any family or friends.

He was reportedly not due to fly back from his holiday until 3 August, but called his girlfriend to say he was coming home early.

His family have also set up an Instagram page called ‘findsimonrobinson’ in a bid to raise more awareness.

Ms Dale, from Barnsley in South Yorkshire, shared a version of the missing poster translated into Finnish in the hope it could throw up some new leads in the country.

Simon Robinson is described as 6ft 2in, regular build, with brown hair and blue eyes.

Anyone in the UK with information is asked to call police on 101, or Interpol in Helsinki on +358 295 480 181.
