Portugal midfielder Vitinha joins PSG in €40m from Porto. Thursday when French champions first entered the trade market. With PSG still negotiating the departure of coach Mauricio Pochettino and the appointment of Christophe Galtier, Vitinha has signed a five-year contract with the French capital.
Portugal midfielder Vitinha is being replaced by 29-year-old Italian midfielder Marco Verratti.
Vitinha made his Porto debut in 2020 before joining English Premier League side Wolverhampton. Wanderers on loan for the 2020/21 season and playing 22 games in his first overseas experience. The midfielder, who has played three times for Portugal, returned to Porto last summer, played 47 games and helped the club win the league title twice. Media reports estimate the transfer amount to 40 million euros ($ 42m).
The Wolves rejected the option to sign Vitinha on a permanent transfer last summer and PSG have won.
At PSG, he will work with fellow Portuguese players Nuno Mendes and Danilo Pereira.

Mendes will join PSG permanently on July 1 after the left-back enjoyed a successful season on loan from Sporting Lisbon.
Vitinha joins a club undergoing change and became the first to sign for PSG following the appointment of Luis Campos as football coach.
Sources have told ESPN that former Nice boss Christophe Galtier is likely to replace Mauricio Pochettino as PSG coach.
