Spanish media outlet Dario Sport has revealed the name of the Ballon d’Or winner. The media claims that Argentine superstar Lionel Messi is going to win the Ballon d’Or for the 2022-23 season. He left Argentina behind after 36 years of winning the World Cup in Qatar.

Messi will break his own record if he wins the Ballon d’Or. The Argentinian has won the Ballon d’Or the most seven times in history. His arch-rival Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has won the second most five times.
However, there is no official confirmation of this claim by the Spanish media yet. France Football has not said anything about it. However, Messi is expected to appear with his national team mates at the Ballon d’Or gala on the 30th.
